Candace Havens’ Truth or Dare

Truth or DareOnce the game starts, there’s no going back…

Forensic anthropologist Patience McGee doesn’t play games. So when she offers to investigate the death of businessman Cade Randall’s father from twenty years ago, Cade’s ambivalence is nothing short of frustrating. Well, she’ll show this mouthwateringly hot man exactly who he’s dealing with….

Cade had made up his mind to walk away from the case-until Patience dared him to help her investigate the murder. And as they immerse themselves in the mystery, it isn’t long before the vibe between them goes from civil to sizzle. But what will happen when Cade and Patience realize that the most dangerous dare of all… is the truth?

  1. Well, I hold up my head high when I read books — even those silly old loin thrusting fantasy books of the 80s. Remember those? and they made fun of romances. Hypocrites!

Loved TRUTH AND DARE too, but I long for more paranormal from you, Candy, I really do!

    • I’m working on paranormals. I promise. 🙂 I read the first chapter of a new Bronwyn book, Charmed & Wicked last night at writer’s group. 🙂

  2.  The Lora Leigh Breed series totally makes me think about the Dark Angel TV series.  Awesome!

  3. I think that the movie (Sphinx) 1981 with Lesley-Anne Down is much like the Amelia Peabody series that Elizabeth Peters created.  I love it.

  4. Candy–great video! Upbeat and fun and I’m with you –more romance readers mushrooms into more good things!  And what’s wrong with romance/love anyway? Seriously! Enjoyed your tribute and completely support it!

  5. Wow! Are you sure you aren’t a Jamaican with all of these jobs (In Living Color)?  Now to answer the question: There was a short lived show called Legacy back in the late 90’s the reminder me of the historicals that I used to love. Romanticized depictions of the port-War  South. Totally unrealistic but entertaining nonetheless.

    • LOL on In Living Color.  Legacy, the one with Grayson McCouch and Brett Cullen? I had a huge crush on Grayson.
